How did we get started?

Brothers Holiday Lighting is the brain child of Ryan Fleming. Growing up, he always looked forward to seeing his house, and others lit up with decorations. Only there was a problem, putting up the Christmas lights was always a huge mess. If it wasn’t the bad weather, then it was lights not working or the dangers of going up on a ladder or possibly the roof. Once as a boy he actually watched his dad fall off a ladder and land on a brick walkway bellow. Luckily he was ok, but from that moment on Ryan thought… why can’t we pay someone to do this?

As the years went by Ryan grew up, graduated from Seattle University and then begin a business in the Auto Detailing industry. However the idea of a company that would install Christmas lights for others was also on his mind. As winter approached, and the car business slowed down Ryan decided that it was time to test his idea of offering a service to hang other peoples Christmas lights. Guess what… it was an immediate success, and all of his clients loved the service.

During the next few years Ryan continued to slowly build the lighting business. However, by his fourth year Ryan realized the potential for expansion in the holiday lighting industry. He knew that this industry was ripe for a large company and that he could be this company. To be a front runner in any industry you need good customer satisfaction and a well organized business. Ryan realized he’d need help, and his first choice was his brother, Michael. His brother had a solid work ethic, a background in electrical work and could offer a good balance to Ryan’s “Just Do It” attitude.

Since the Brothers became a team in 04’ the company has enjoyed a success that any business owner would love. The pair believes in offering clients top notch customer service, better product, competitive prices, and a first class experience. The business has grown into the largest lighting business in all of Washington offering service to over 600 residential and commercial clients during the holiday season. They are on the forefront of the industry coming up with new techniques to make the industry safer, more efficient and affordable. The team also believes in giving back, and has been heavily involved in charity work over the years. This year they will be working with children’s hospital to help bring a little joy to those families who are spending time there during the holidays. It is clear to say that Ryan’s vision of a company that could install Christmas lights for others has turned into a reality.

Looking into the future there is no telling where the brothers will take their company. They are looking into a few different ventures, such as franchising, moving into other markets and possibly developing their own product line. But rest assured, whatever they end up doing they will continue to have the same core values. After all, the key to success is making sure your clients are always happy!!
